Near Gatten Lake
One side of the lake is dedicated exclusively to two anglers, who can choose from four well-positioned pegs and bivvy up for a traditional carp fishing experience. With a variety of features and swims available, anglers can tailor their approach to make the most of their session.
The lake is full of interesting features — islands, lily pads, marginal growth and numerous underwater features creating a fascinating and rewarding challenge. Young, fast-growing carp are already surpassing the magical 40lb mark and developing season by season.
All sessions are advance booking only via swimbooker, ensuring the venue never feels crowded and every angler has the space and peace to fish properly.
Otters Holt Lodge
Otters Holt is a modern and luxurious lakeside lodge situated on the far bank of the lake. Designed for one angler and one guest, the lodge provides access to productive open water behind the island, as well as excellent margin fishing opportunities.

Set Up and Fish.
Near Gatten is set up to make your session as comfortable and focused as possible. Everything you need on the bank is here — so you can arrive, settle into your swim, and get fishing without any fuss.
Fish Care Equipment
Landing nets, unhooking mats, slings, and barrows all supplied. Anglers must use the provided equipment — no personal nets or mats on-site.
Toilet Facilities
Excellent toilet facilities available on-site for all anglers throughout their session.
Free Drinking Water
Fresh drinking water available on-site throughout your session at no extra charge.
Secure Car Parking
Secure car parking with gates locked every evening. All vehicles must be parked in the designated car park.
Wood-Chipped Swims
All bank swims are wood-chipped, level, well-drained, and spacious enough for a two-man bivvy with ease.
Features & Depth
Depths from 4ft to 14ft with islands, lily pads and marginal features. Plenty to reward the angler who learns the water.

Near Gatten Fishery is set in the heart of the Shropshire Hills — one of England's most beautiful Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Please follow the directions provided upon booking carefully, as the approach road is via narrow country lanes.
